Wow! We had a wonderful first week home with our little guy. To say he is adored around here is an incredible understatement! Max and Tate love to kiss his little head, and are the greatest helpers around.
Unfortunately, on Tuesday, we noticed that he was not eating well and that something was just not right. After taking a temp (94.7) we called the pediatrician and were told to immediately go to the ER at Primary Children's Medical Center. Once there we learned that he was hypothermic and was experiencing significant apnea. The doctor's did a million tests, including a lumbar puncture. The lumbar puncture was the most excruciating part--it is the only time we have heard J. really scream. We were transferred up to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and have now graduated to the infant medical/surgical unit. We still do not know what is causing his apnea. Each time he has an apneic event, we are guaranteed another 48 hours in the hospital.
Please pray for our little man, we are so grateful to have him in our lives, and cannot wait to bring him home again.

Your family will certainly be in our prayers! It is so hard having a sick baby and so draining to be in the hospital. Our hearts are with you, your family and Little "J". We hope he gets well soon and you can all be home to enjoy him together!
We will most certainly keep you in our prayers. I hope that J is going to be ok soon. I am so happy that you are able to have this little guy and I know that your home will bless him much...lets get him better soon and our prayers will be with the dr's so they know what to do for him.
Sorry to hear about your little guy. I hope everything works out and we will keep you all in our prayers, also.
We'll definitely be praying for your family. I'm sorry he's sick and hope he'll get better soon so you can have him home again. Let us know how things progress.
We r so excited for u! And u will definitely be in our prayers. From someone who has spent way to much time in the NICU I completely understand how u feel. But having experienced what I have, I have complete faith that the lord, the doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapists will be able to fix what is wrong with your baby. We love u and r so happy for u.
What a lucky, lucky baby to have you!!! We will definitely be praying for your family. We are anxious to see more pictures and to hear how you are all doing. Take Care!!!
